The Mission Statement of Bartlett
Baptist Preschool and Kindergarten
Knowing that Jesus loves the children, it is our desire to extend that love to the children who are placed in our care, to nurture them with positive and appropriate learning activities in a secure Christian environment, to help them develop confidence in their created abilities, and to offer guidance to the parents entrusted with these children.
The Five Teaching Goals of
Bartlett Baptist Preschool and Kindergarten
- Spiritually
- Through the concept of God, we strive to teach love, wisdom, knowledge, and friendship.
- Emotionally
- We encourage children to gradually mature in wholesome expressions of emotional reactions, face and overcome emotional problems, build a healthy self-concept, and develop self-reliance.
- Intellectually
- Our goal is to strengthen independent thinking and broaden ranges of interest. We also strive to increase attention span, develop language powers, grow in the ability to concentrate, improve skills, and develop creative abilities.
- Physically
- We encourage children to enjoy participating in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities and quiet and active experiences. We want children to develop motor skills, establish desirable health habits, and know and follow simple safety rules.
- Socially
- Our goal is to teach children to grow in their ability to work and play with each other, respect personal and property rights of others, and accept appropriate individual and social responsibility within a group. We also encourage the development of attitudes of kindness, cooperation, courtesy, and helpfulness toward others.
