Bartlett Baptist Preschool and Kindergarten

Does my child have to be potty-trained to enter your program?

Yes.

Are parents involved with the school?

Parents do take an active role in our preschool. Click on the section titled Parents to see the many ways we involve the families of our children.

Do you have a curriculum?

We have a flexible curriculum that follows developmentally appropriate procedure guidelines (DAP) when preparing the lesson plans.

This allows the child to participate in activities based on his or her maturity, thus creating a positive learning environment. Within these guidelines, we strive to challenge the children and to introduce them to reading readiness skills, math concepts, social study topics and science activities.

Are children with disabilities accepted in your program?

We want to provide an appropriate learning environment for any family looking for a preschool program. For this reason, any child with a disability will be considered on a case-by-case basis to determine if our preschool can offer what that child needs.

What is stay-and-play?

Stay-and-play is an extended-day program that allows children to stay until 2:15 p.m. once a week. Children in the 3-day preschool program (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) have the option of staying Wednesday until 2:15. Children in the 2-day preschool program (Tuesday/Thursday) and the kindergarten have the option of staying Wednesday or Thursday until 2:15.

For more information about fees for stay-and-play, please check out our Tuition and Fees section.

My child has allergies. Will that be a problem?

We have had several children attend with insect, animal, or food allergies. We post the child's name and food allergy by all food preparation items and on containers. We notify other parents about avoiding the use of those allergens when preparing snacks for the class, and we keep parent-provided snacks for their children to enjoy.

Parents have also provided us with any necessary medical treatment to be used with their permission in the event of an emergency.

Since you are a Baptist preschool, what do you teach regarding religion?

We do feel that spiritual development is extremely important in a child's education.

Our children will hear about a loving God who cares and created the world. They will learn about Jesus and the basic truths of the Bible that teach forgiveness, kindness, obedience and respect. They will not receive any teaching regarding the doctrine of the Baptist church. We want each family to know that the church and school are here to assist in any way we can when there is a need.
